The typical excitement surrounding the Shopbop sale made me realize that I really have no idea how to shop the Shopbop website. I’ve clicked links from fellow bloggers before, but I’m not great at navigating the site on my own. There’s just so much! I posted a few items that I’ve eyed at different times and on other sites on my “Shop My Instagram” tab in case you were curious what I’d buy, but Shopbop isn’t one of my usual stops. For me, the joy of shopping comes partly from the comfort of knowing where I can find pieces I like and, more importantly, items that fit.
I listed below the stores I most frequent, and I don’t think any of them will be a surprise. I think the biggest addition for me over the past few years has been Nordstrom as I feel like I finally know how to shop a large department store. In the past, I always became overwhelmed and stuck to smaller stores, but I’ve been able to identify a few brands I really love (listed in parentheses) that have made the process a lot easier.
So, in no particular order, here are my most-frequented stores:
- Nordstrom (brands: Halogen, Pleione, Caslon, Hinge, Chelsea28, BP, Topshop, Vigoss, Suburban Riot, and Gibson)
- J. Crew
- Old Navy
- Alice and Wonder (shop online here)
- J. Crew Factory
- Nordstrom Rack (sometimes I’ll even find items I was eyeing at regular Nordstrom after they’ve been moved here!)
- Target (mainly the shoe department)
