When my friend Cody reached out last week and invited me to a preview of the Halogen x Atlantic-Pacific collection at Nordstrom, I jumped on it! I discovered Atlantic-Pacific in the early days of Pinterest, and Blair Eadie was the blogger to follow. Her outfits were both aspirational and relatable- and that’s exactly the vibe she brought to this collection. When I briefly chatted with her, she described her vision as “unicorn- but make it fashion.”
Pretty sure I need everything on this table.
The creator herself! She was so sweet and genuine in person.
I did a terrible job with blogging duties during the preview and only managed to try on some coats and accessories. However, I’d totally recommend that’s what you hone in on! The coats are gorgeously made, and they’re complete showstoppers. The hats, scarves, and shoes could jazz up any outfit, and I love how vibrant and colorful they are. The collection is designed so that every piece complements each other, and you can theoretically mix and match everything.
I feel like this is the signature piece from the collection. (I mean, Blair was wearing it at the event.) I don’t think it works on me, and it doesn’t really fit with my closet- but it’s still gorgeous!
My friend, Cody, pointed out the Chanel vibes in this jacket- and she was totally right.
This coat got the biggest response when I posted it in my stories. I can see why!
I never knew I needed a stole so badly.
I honestly have no idea how to wear a beret, but that wouldn’t stop me. There are so many cute ones in this collection!
I found that everything I tried on ran true to size (it seems to be comparable to Halogen’s sizing) except the pink button blazer. I’d recommend going up one size in that, and you’ll still get a structured feel. I think the best part about this collection, similar to the Gal Meets Glam collection, is how size inclusive it is. I believe every item goes up to a size 22-24 or 2x/3x which opens it up to so many more women. I applaud Nordstrom for helping to expand the market and giving more women the chance to partake.
There’s a range of prices for the collection, but they seem pretty typical for Nordstrom. I’d say it’s Halogen’s base pricing with a small markup for the really special pieces. Honestly, most of the items wouldn’t be a great investment for me because it doesn’t match my style. (I’d love to be the girl who wears a tulle skirt to date night, but it will never happen.) That being said, I’m still excited to browse the collection again on Monday when it goes live on nordstrom.com at 9am eastern time. There are some hats, scarves, and sweaters that are simple yet add a pop of color to dreary winter days. I’m also still loving that green coat…
Are any of you planning to shop the collection? What pieces are you thinking? I want to see all the photos!
