There are few pleasures in life as good as wearing a cozy sweater on a fall day. If I could wear an oversize sweater every single day of the year, I absolutely would. During August, I get a little “meh” about clothes shopping since I’m not looking to add more summer pieces to my wardrobe, but the temperatures don’t have me thinking about fall yet. That is- until the savvy bloggers start schilling the best fall styles and then I’m all “OMG YES GIVE ME ALL THE SWEATERS.” So, in the spirit of solidarity, here are my favorite fall sweaters so far this season. I decided to narrow the list down to just Nordstrom finds because I feel like my other favorite retailers (Loft, Madewell, J. Crew) haven’t released many sweaters yet- but I know they’re coming. I’ll be sure to add posts on other retailers as they hit the stores!
Yeah yeah I know- you’re already sick of seeing this sweater, and it was super annoying how quickly it sold out during the anniversary sale. I tend to buy neutral sweaters (gray, camel, navy), but I love the unexpected mix of colors in this Topshop sweater. It adds a little something unexpected, and I think it’s a good piece even if you weren’t able to snag it during the anniversary sale.
I bought this sweater one size up, and I just want to wrap myself in it and take a nap. It’s more of a tunic length which means it will be perfect with leggings and boots as soon as the temps dip. I’m also a huge fan of the marled pattern, and it comes in a ton of colors which obviously means I need three more.
This is the most insanely extra photo of me every taken, and I am obviously all about it. This top is actually a sweatshirt, but it’s really lightweight and will be perfect for fall. I’m one of the lucky souls that can wear yoga pants to work so you bet this will be on heavy rotation during the week.
I linked more of my favorite finds below, including a few that Madewell released during the anniversary sale. I also gravitated towards items from BP and Free People which are other brands that I always turn to for sweaters. Let me know if I missed any must-have pieces that you’ve spotted online or in-store! I’m alwaaaays looking for reasons to add more sweaters to my wardrobe.
