I might be biased here, but I’m not sure there’s anything better than walking out your front door and having access to one of the best neighborhoods in Chicago. There’s something about the people, the energy, and the noise of a city that makes me feel like I’m at the center of everything. Even as a kid, I felt really unsettled in small, rural areas (although I can probably blame that on my simultaneous fascination with serial killers, but I digress). Anyone who’s watched one of my stories on Instagram knows that I live on a street of amazing restaurants, and one of my simplest joys is grabbing a coffee at Beatrix before heading home from errands. It sounds so minor, but, as I talked about in my last post, I feel a real sense of peace knowing I’m at home in a place that makes me feel so naturally good.
